NZ political polls: Which one is right?

From Morning Report, 8:10 am on 10 June 2019

Two major polls out on Sunday night couldn't agree on whether Labour or National is more popular with voters but they did dovetail on one question - and it's not good news for Opposition leader Simon Bridges.

Both TVNZ's Colmar Brunton poll and Newshub's Reid Research poll had Mr Bridges trailing Judith Collins in the preferred Prime Minister stakes.

Newshub-Reid Research had Ms Collins with a rating of 7 percent against Mr Bridges' 4 percent.

TVNZ had it closer - Ms Collins on 6 percent and Mr Bridges 5 percent. Jacinda Ardern was ahead in popularity - 45 percent in the TVNZ poll and 49 percent on Newshub.
