Australian coach Lisa Alexander says Noeline Taurua should be lauded for guiding New Zealand to victory in the netball World Cup in Liverpool.
The Silver Ferns beat the Diamonds by just one goal - 52-51 - to take the title for the first time in 16 years.
Ms Taurua took over the team less than a year ago, after a string of defeats, culminating in New Zealand not making the medal podium at the Commonwealth Games.
Lisa Alexander, who coaches the Diamonds, says her team is hurting.
