The country's top Māori language academy has closed its doors for good. Te Panekiretanga o Te Reo Māori trained some of the nation's best Maori orators and broadcasters to reach the pinnacle of the Maori language.
But as RNZ Maori news correspondent Leigh-Marama McLachlan reports, the end is not all bad news.
