President Donald Trump has cancelled a visit to Denmark after his proposal to purchase Greenland was ridiculed.
He was due to visit in two weeks on the invitation of the Danish Queen, but on Twitter said that won't go ahead as the Danish Prime Minister had no interest in discussing the purchase of Greenland.
Prime Minister Mette Fredriksen said the proposal was "absurd" and she hoped he was not serious.
Susie Ferguson spoke to Poul Krarup, the editor of the newspaper Sermitsiaq in Greenland, about how the events unfolded.
He said that Greenland wants to cooperate with the United States, but reiterated it is not for sale.
