Key parts of military-style assault rifles are illegal - Police

Police confirmed yesterday that that key parts of the military-style assault rifles used in the Christchurch terror attacks are illegal. Up until now gun owners trying to hand them in at buyback events were being turned away. They've now clarified their position - AR15 rifles are completely illegal - even when modified to fire lower-calibre bullets. Jim Yates is from the firearms retail store Guns NZ and joined us live.
