New app aims to make litter easier to control

A group of passionate litter-pickers battled against the rain yesterday, for the Hutt Valley Spring Clean. But their rubbish clean-up had a slightly more glamorous side, with the cleaners using the mobile app, Litterati. The app allows you to photograph, geo-tag, and identify each individual piece of litter. RNZ's Harry Lock went along to see the app in action.
