Fish & Game chair accused of waiving fines for fishing gear
The chair of Hawke's Bay Fish and Game is being accused of waiving fines in return for free fishing gear. A scathing audit of the Hawke's Bay Fish and Game Council has described it as dysfunctional and found its chair failed to follow his own council's rules. An investigation into the council was launched last year after a complaint was made to the Conservation Minister Eugenie Sage, and Auckland barrister Michael Webb was appointed to carry out an independent audit of the council. We speak to RNZ's Hawke's Bay reporter Anusha Bradley about the final report.
