Radar system failure never posed risk to passengers - Airways

The country's air traffic controller Airways says passenger safety was never at risk when it was forced to go to a back up radar system on Monday. Dozens of flights were grounded for about 50 minutes after smoke was detected from the power source in the Christchurch building that houses the radar. Chen Liu reports.
