Coroner rules suffocation death could have been prevented

A coroner has ruled that a young woman who was suffocated by a large goiter on her thyroid, could have been saved if she'd had surgery more quickly. 25-year-old Arohaina Gilbert died in Wairoa Hospital in May 2018, just days before she was due to have an emergency operation.
