Volunteers collect vital information

Volunteers picking up rubbish on beaches are also collecting vital information about the state of the environment. The data from so-called "citizen scientists" has been included in a major report on New Zealand's marine habitat. Our reporter Matthew Theunissen headed out on one of their "litter intelligence" surveys to see how it's done.
