A debate has emerged about whether euthanasia has a place within te ao Māori.
The End of Life Choice Bill passed through the house last week, but not without intense debate among Māori MPs from across the house.
Māori community leaders are split, with some saying euthanasia does not sit with the Māori worldview on death, while others say there is no one tikanga and whānau should have the choice.
