Teacher involvement in school sports drops to record low

Teacher involvement in school sports has fallen to its lowest rate in 20 years.

A survey by School Sport New Zealand shows 29 percent of teachers were involved in secondary school sports last year, which is the lowest figure on record.

In 2000, 46 percent of teachers were involved in sport.
