The National Party says mixed messages from the government on Covid 19 alert levels are causing the public to get complacent about social distancing as evidenced in the Black Lives Matter rallies held around the country on Monday.
In a media release issued after midnight last night BLM Solidarity Auckland Spokesperson Shalane Williams said they "worked with Auckland Police to reinforce the social distancing message every 5-10 minutes. and quote " We handed out masks, had hand sanitiser available and followed contact tracing protocol" .
We asked BLM Solidarity to speak to us this morning, they declined our invitation.
