A Southland teenager will today be sentenced for the murder of a nine-year-old boy in the small settlement of Otautau - about 40 kilometres northwest of Invercargill.
The rural town of about 800 people was rocked by the death of the child at the hands of his babysitter last October.
Otago-Southland reporter Timothy Brown went to the town after the killing, and will be present in court when the sentencing occurs this afternoon.
