The great English institution - the pub - awoke from hibernation yesterday, after the UK government allowed places that offer hospitality, including pubs and restaurants to reopen.
More than 44,000 people have died with COVID-19 in the United Kingdom - one of the highest death tolls in the world - and many drinkers were nervous about returning to their local.
But many people did embrace the chance to bend their elbow.
