A new Māori venture is hoping to get more people to make use of marae for overnight accommodation.
Similar to Airbnb, 'Book a Marae' is an online marketplace that will allow sporting groups, conferences, holiday makers and the like to arrange a marae stay.
It is being launched in the coming months and it aims to deliver an authentic cultural experience for both domestic and, eventually, international visitors.
