An Auckland pizza shop owner who uncovered what's known in the retail industry as "chargeback or refund fraud" wants more businesses to be on alert for the scam.
Scammers target customers buying through a third party like the social media site WeChat using direct bank transfers.
The scammers pose as a third party. They pocket the customers' money then fill the order using another person's stolen information.
