The Auckland Secondary Principals Association is warning thousands of teenagers will need catch-up lessons for learning they missed during the lockdown.
By the end of the week, Auckland's 250,000 school children will have had 2.5 weeks less classroom time than the rest of the country.
The association's president, Steve Hargreaves, told RNZ education correspondent, John Gerritsen, his school, Macleans College, is planning extra lessons.
