National Party leader Judith Collins says she's surprised Green Party leader James Shaw didn't resign during a press conference on Tuesday, where he apologised for his role in pushing for funding for the Taranaki Green School.
The school received $11.7 million worth of funding from the Covid-19 shovel-ready projects fund and other Taranaki schools are angry about the spending when they are in need of greater funding themselves.
Collins said Shaw's pushing the funding, which she says held up other projects, was "completely unacceptable" and indicated his apology wasn't enough.
"I actually think James Shaw owes a lot more than that, I think I'm surprised he didn't resign yesterday."
