Disabled Pacific people getting an allowance that's meant to help them with their extra costs are getting less than half that of Pākehā recipients.
Official data dating back 10 years shows persistent inequity in median disability allowance payment amounts between Pākehā, and Māori and Pacific people.
To fix that, disability advocates say the allowance needs to be paid at a flat rate.
