The New Zealand First leader Winston Peters is accusing the Serious Fraud Office of effectively interfering in the election.
The watchdog has charged two people with obtaining by deception after an investigation into the New Zealand First Foundation.
Those charged are not ministers, sitting MPs, candidates in the election, staffers, or current members of New Zealand First.
