Former NZ cricket great John R Reid remembered.
New Zealand cricket is mourning one of its most revered figures - John R Reid, who has died at the age of 92. Reid was captain when New Zealand won its first ever test, against the West Indies in 1956. Six years later he led them to a first offshore win, against South Africa. The inspirational all-rounder was skipper 34 times in a 16-year test career. Sports historian Joseph Romanos, who wrote Reid's biography 20 years ago, speaks to Corin Dann.
