A woman stuck in Singapore, desperately trying to be reunited with her fiancé in New Zealand, says getting a flight that works with a managed isolation spot is all down to luck.
Aziela Cheong has been separated from her Kiwi fiancé for about a year now.
The pair planned to marry in New Zealand earlier this year, but the wedding got postponed because of Covid-19.
After a year of trying, she is waiting to hear whether her critical purpose visa application will be approved.
Cheong told RNZ reporter Jean Bell that even if that goes through, matching a flight to a managed isolation slot will be a challenge.
