The headline act is sold out but there's plenty more to tempt at the Wellington jazz festival that begins today and runs until Sunday.
Tickets have been snapped up for West Auckland rapper and hip hop artist Tom Scott's genre-pushing jazz, hip-hop project Avantdale Bowling Club.
The festival offers more than a hundred gigs across the capital - everything from the powerful sound of a big band to the intimacy of a piano trio.
Marnie Karmelita is the festival's creative director.
