The Māori Party's two MPs turned heads - literally - when they walked out in the first session of the new parliament.
Co-leader Rawiri Waititi raised a point of order in te reo Māori when seeking to participate in a debate but was over-ruled by speaker of the house Trevor Mallard.
It prompted Waititi and co-leader Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to leave the chamber, in a dramatic start to the Māori Party's return to the halls of power.
Mallard speaks to Corin Dann.
