Dame Tariana Turia says Oranga Tamariki deserves Maori leadership and current CEO Grainne Moss should resign.
The Waitangi Tribunal has been hearing from Moss as it investigates the ministry's role in uplifting Māori babies from their whānau.
Hoani Lambert, the most senior Māori leader at Oranga Tamariki, resigned after four years at the Ministry on Monday.
