The government says every New Zealander who wants one can get a Covid-19 vaccine, starting midway throught 2021.
It has pre-purchased a further two vaccines - 7.6 million doses will come from AstraZeneca - enough for 3.8 million people, and 10.72 million doses from Novavax - enough for 5.36 million people.
The government will also provide $75 million of aid to ensure its neighbours in the Pacific get access to vaccines for Covid-19.
To discuss the government's plans for the vaccine, Susie Ferguson speaks to the College of GP's Pacific Chapter chairman Dr Api Talemaitoga and vaccinologist Dr Helen Petousis-Harris.
