Over 500 Australian Open players and staff are in isolation after a Melbourne hotel quarantine worker tested positive for Covid-19.
The man was working at one of three hotels being used to house tennis players and their support staff ahead of the tournament opening on Monday.
He also visited a number of locations including a public gathering before he tested positive on Wednesday evening.
The state of Victoria has been plunged into new restrictions including mandatory mask use indoors and restrictions on gatherings.
