Auckland is now in Alert Level 3 following the discovery of three new community cases in the city The rest of the country moved to Alert Level 2.
The new alert levels are in place for 72 hours. In Auckland, the rules are the same as the last lockdown August. Schools are closed to everyone but the children of essential workers.
People should work from home if they can. If you leave your home, you should keep your distance from other people, and wear a face mask where possible.
Supermarkets and pharmacies will stay open, and people are encouraged not to panic buy and other businesses can operate click and collect services or other non contact trading.
All public venues will close.
