The National Party says the government's "high trust" approach to managing Covid-19 outbreaks has been exposed by the most recent community cases.
The opposition has unveiled a "five-point plan", including a move to mirror the methods used in Taiwan, where managed isolation comes with strict protocols.
Those in isolation there are subjected to random phone calls and required to confirm their location through a video call.
