Three protesters' tents are still in place this morning on the site of the proposed Erebus memorial in Parnell.
Community leader Dame Rangimarie Naida Glavish says the site is culturally significant and has nothing to do with the Erebus disaster.
She argues the iwi's approval is effectively meaningless and that it was not consulted on some aspects of the project.
