Covid-19: Infectious diseases professor on infection in MIQ facilities

The officials who run managed isolation are once again under fire after more Covid-19 cases among guests.

Two people staying at the Grand Mercure Auckland have tested positive for the virus, with genomic sequencing showing they're linked.

But the two individuals were staying in different rooms, on different floors, and arrived on different flights.

It's causing some head scratching over how it could have happened. David Murdoch is professor of infectious diseases at the University of Otago, Christchurch.

He spoke to Susie Ferguson.
