Poverty the reason more Māori victims of crime

Poverty continues to be the major reason why Māori are the victims of crime more often than non-Māori. 

A Ministry of Justice study has found there's been no improvement in the last 15 years.

It's also confirmed what justice reform advocates have been saying for years - that poor housing and low incomes are to blame.
