A Māori doctor says the country's drug laws hurt his people the most.
Dr Rawiri McKree Jansen, from the National Hauora Coalition, is a part of group of health, addiction and social justice campaigners who have signed the open letter to the government asking for a health response to drug use.
He told reporter Hamish Cardwell that the drug laws need to be overhauled because young Māori are too easily dragged into the justice system.
