Rental car companies are struggling to catch up with tourism's mini-revival because there aren't enough new cars to buy.
Firms trying to restock after slashing vehicle numbers last year face growing wait times to restock, impinging on re-employing staff laid off last year.
They've bought just 2000 cars and campervans so far this year, instead of 20,000 across a normal year.
