Iwi in Te-Matau-a-Māui are calling for the government to invest in their rohe so they can further develop housing to curb homelessness and invest in the future of their descendants.
This comes as the Government announced it would fund nearly $400 million into Māori housing around Aotearoa as part of this year's budget.
Iwi say hundreds of houses need to be built to solve the problem.
