A former Christchurch mayor says the city's economic agency should stop focusing on events and tourism, and should put more effort into developing the economy.
ChristchurchNZ was founded four years ago by the city's council, after a merger between two of the region's development and tourism arms.
But Garry Moore, who served three terms as mayor, says the Christchurch already has enough tourism promoters, and believes city council has given the agency the wrong priorities.
He spoke to our reporter Anan Zaki.
