Wellington, Kāpiti Coast, Hutt Valley and Wairarapa are back at alert level 1 and from Monday the trans-Tasman travel bubble will resume for South Australia, the ACT, Tasmania and Victoria.
At the same time the Government has admitted that supplies of the Covid-19 vaccine are very low and could be exhausted within the week.
The Covid-19 Response Minister, Chris Hipkins, says a significant delivery is due next Tuesday, and a bigger one on 28 July.
After that, vaccinations would ramp up, but in the meantime jabs cannot be given any faster.
Hipkins spoke to Corin Dann.
