MIQ booking system hacked by programming code users

Tech savvy New Zealanders are effectively locking others out of MIQ booking systems by using a computer programming code to snap up available spots within seconds.

One man who admits to using the code agrees it's unethical and says the booking system is so technologically basic that it is able to be exploited.

The Ministry of Business, which looks after the booking system, says doing this is a breach of their rules.

But it's still going on.
