Billionaire Richard Branson has fulfilled a lifelong dream - and set the path for commercial space flights.
The British entrepreneur flew to space aboard a rocket-powered vehicle developed by his space tourism company, Virgin Galactic.
In a live broadcast during the vehicle's descent, he called the trip, "an experience of a lifetime".
It was a test flight - but his company is aiming to start commercial flights with paying customers in 2022.
