Waitangi Tribunal claimants who suffered at the hands of state care say they are being shut out of Oranga Tamariki reform talks.
They say other Maori leaders are given the ear of government while their lived experience isn't valued.
The chair of a Ministerial inquiry says he respects the claimants' voices, but the complaints are a distraction from work that is happening right now.
