Children and teenagers suffering from severe anxiety and depression are having to wait more than six months for treatment in Wellington.
A central city youth mental health service has been running at about half capacity at times this year after many staff left - some due to stress and overwork.
Parents are beside themselves and fear the delays are putting lives at risk.
