The return of New Zealand tourists to the Cook Islands has residents in Rarotonga stewing over the impact it is having on the island's iconic Muri Lagoon.
A lagoon spokesperson claims 90 percent of Muri's many hotels and resorts rely on sewage systems not fit for purpose in preventing chemical and microbe contamination.
