For the second time in just eight days, Transpower has had to ask lines companies to reduce power to North Island homes.
The timing on both occasions could hardly have been worse - in the first case, in the middle of a brutal weather situation, in the second, on the eve of a national lockdown.
What is happening, why does it keep on happening and can we be sure it won't happen again.
