Northlanders are hoping rulebreakers will be kept out of the region today, in the final hours of inter-regional travel.
People who were away from home when lockdown began have until midnight tonight to get back.
Te Tai Tokerau residents told RNZ the influx of traffic on the first night of traffic has left them unsettled.
