A former interpreter for the New Zealand Defence Force in Afghanistan who's now living here says his family in Kabul has been left to die.
Diamond Kazimi told Morning Report an email last night from Foreign Affairs says it is not accepting any more visa applications, and is working to prcess the applications it already has.
Kazimi says his family are now resigned to the fact they will be killed.
But he is urging officials to do all they can to get people out, with just a few days to go before the Taliban's deadline for Kabul's airport to close.
