Covid-19 has been detected in Christchurch's wastewater, but this isn't unexpected given there are three active cases in managed isolation in the city.
A group of public health experts argue that wastewater testing is critical to the Covid-19 response and should be scaled up to cover new sites nationally, and to move from twice weekly to daily testing in more areas.
