Conservationists are hoping to identify the pod of orca in Porirua Harbour to say whether or not they are related to the baby Toa who became stranded in the area in July and later died despite efforts to save him.
Orca Research Trust founder and principal scientist Ingrid Visser, says local people are using long camera lens to try to photograph the orca from within their bubble.
She spoke to Susie Ferguson.
