Delta is changing the country's covid-19 response and tonight's move to Alert Level Two will be no exception.
From 11.59pm every part of the country will move down alert levels except Auckland, which stays marooned in alert level 4.
But there's new requirements to be aware of under "Level Two Delta".
Most notably outdoor venues can have up to a hundred people, but indoor venues can have just 50 - that's half as many as before - and indoor social distancing has doubled to two metres.
Masks must be worn in most public venues - while they are recommended, but not mandatory for children returning to school on Thursday.
On top of that workers crossing the Auckland border will have to get tested once a week, a move that has frustrated those working in the road freight industry.
