The first group of people evacuated out of Afghanistan during the dramatic takeover by the Taliban, will be released from MIQ over the next few days.
The New Zealand Defence Force managed to get 370 people out before a terrorist attack at Kabul Airport brought New Zealand evacuation flights to an abrupt end.
The evacuees are a mix of New Zealand passport holders plus people and families who have worked for various New Zealand agencies over the last 20 years.
